At the heart of this year's NFL draft was a staggering selection of quarterbacks, with six talents chosen amongst the top 12 picks. However, two weeks into the season, the anticipated performance from these rookies has yet to make a splash - none of them boasting a single touchdown pass to their names.

Rookie Starters Off to a Slow Start

Amongst the rookie quarterbacks, Caleb Williams for Chicago, Jayden Daniels for Washington, and Bo Nix for Denver have all been launched into starting positions to commence the season. Despite their potential, all three have dual game starts under their belt but no touchdowns to show for it.

Game Time Eludes Some, While Injury Takes Out Another

Backing up for New England and Atlanta are Drake Maye and Michael Penix respectively. Unfortunately, neither rookie quarterback has seen time on the field yet. Adding injury to the mix, Minnesota's J.J. McCarthy gears up for a disappointing season off the gridiron, sidelined by a knee injury.

Comparing the Leading Rookies' Stats

With three rookie quarterbacks in starting roles, a statistical comparison is only fitting. Jayden Daniels, thus far, has the most promising numbers, delivering a 75.5% completion rate, 410 yards, and a clean slate of zero interceptions. Close behind, Bo Nix has a 59.7% completion rate, 384 yards, and four interceptions to his name. In the final slot sits Caleb Williams, with a 56.1% completion rate, 267 yards, and two interceptions on his record.

While it's still early days in the season - far too early to forecast these rookies' career trajectories based on these preliminary games - fans and critics alike are anxiously hoping to see at least one of these newcomers make their mark with a touchdown pass soon.
