[Discussion] Samsung's Upcoming Unpacked Event: What to Expect from Galaxy AI, Foldables, and the Mysterious Galaxy Ring

Samsung Readies for Next Unpacked Event with Teaser of Galaxy AI and Galaxy Ring

Samsung is gearing up for an exciting summer release with the latest edition of its Unpacked event, set to take place on July 10th in Paris, France. The tech giant tantalizingly left us all hanging with their invitation animation hinting at foldables, and the official invitation message: “Prepare to discover the power of Galaxy AI, now infused into the latest Galaxy Z series and the entire Galaxy ecosystem.” While we are holding our breath for folds, we are just as intrigued to hear about the long-rumored Galaxy Ring.

Folds, Flips, and Galaxy AI

In line with what we have previously seen, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are expected to be relatively modest upgrades. The Z Flip 6 reportedly will house a slightly larger battery, and the Z Fold 6 could come across as a bit more boxy. Albeit not the most thrilling of updates, it falls alongside the trend Samsung has set with the past few iterations of its folding phones.

More riveting news could come from somewhere else entirely. Speculation is tilting toward an official release for the Galaxy Ring, a device first mentioned during the earlier Unpacked this year. We had the opportunity to get hands-on with a prototype model at the Mobile World Congress recently, and there has since been a slow dribble of unofficial details. Although we still know little about official pricing or confirmation of the health sensors it may bring along, this might be changing in the near future.

And let's not forget Galaxy AI. Samsung's first Unpacked of the year was heavily focused on this innovation, and it has since been the hot topic at every developer conference, from I/O and Microsoft Build to WWDC. Indeed, 'tis the season for AI.

Unpacked Live Stream and Pre-Order Bonus

Samsung’s Unpacked will be live-streamed on Samsung.com, kicking off at 9AM ET on Wednesday, July 10th. In addition to the exciting reveals, Samsung offers attendees opportunities for early rewards. You can “reserve” a device and receive a $50 credit when you pre-order one through their official site. Stay tuned to Uncrowned Addiction to follow all the crucial updates from the event.
