If you are asking me in context of the everyday usage, I'd say Intel CPUs are good for the casual usage. And you don't need AMD for that. However if you have gaming habit or you need the machine for the creator and the video editing part. You should be making use of the AMD whenever you are dealing with the graphics and the gaming like heavy gaming and the usage in that case.

This is exactly what I'm currently using now in my HP laptop and it's serving me very well. So, I equally don't have any plans to upgrade or use anything different for now until something changes with Intel that I don't like.
